Delegation led by president of University of Saskatchewan visits BIT

  On the Morning of Nov.7th 2018, a delegation of six led by professor Peter Stoicheff, president of the University of Saskatchewan (U of S), Canada, visited Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). Academician Zhang Jun, president of BIT met with the guests in the room 233 of the second office building.

  President Zhang welcomed president Peter Stoicheff to visit BIT and introduced the new measures of talent development and scientific research work. What’s more, he presented some latest achievements of BIT in the fields of deep space exploration, electronic communication, mechanical engineering, bioengineering and VR technology. Zhang Jun said that BIT and University of Saskatchewan had a satisfactory foundation for cooperation and hoped for combination of the scientific research advantages of both universities and promoted multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary cooperation, to give full play to the international academic influence of the two universities.

  President Peter Stoicheff thanked the passionate welcome of president Zhang Jun, and looked in retrospect of the cooperation history of the two universities. He introduced the science research progress of the U of S, and said that BIT was one of the important cooperators of them. They would continue promoting comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in the fields of teaching, research and cultural exchanges with BIT actively.
