Seminar of American Aerospace Manage System & Aerospace Law held in BIT

    On the afternoon of December 26, 2014, the seminar of American aerospace management system and aerospace law was successfully held in the International Office of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). More than 50 experts and scholars from BIT, China Space Law Society, Beihang University and China Great Wall Industry Cooperation attended the seminar.
 

 
    Professor Joanne Irene Gabrynowicz, visiting professor of BIT School of Law, professor emerita of School of Law of University of Mississippi, editor-in-chief emerita of Journal of Space Law, delivered a report entitled “Legal, Regulatory and Policy Aspects of U.S. Commercial Space Activities”. As the former chief of the National Remote Sensing Center of America as well as the National Aerospace Law Center of America, Professor Joanne Gabrynowicz is an internationally famous expert in space law, especially in the research of space laws and remote sensing laws in America. The seminar was hosted by Professor Li Shouping, vice dean of School of Law of BIT.
 

 
    Professor Joanne Gabrynowicz systematically analyzed the management system of American aerospace activities and introduced the features of American aerospace policies comprehensively. She also made an in-depth analysis on the relationship between the American aerospace policies and the enactment of laws. During the seminar, the attendees brought up many questions and made active interaction with Professor Joanne Gabrynowicz, making the whole seminar animated and lively.
 

 
    At the end of the seminar, vice dean Li Shouping made a comprehensive summary of the seminar. He specifically complimented the extraordinary contribution to the research and teaching of aerospace law in China for many years. Doctor Zhang Zhenjun, secretary-in-general of China Institute of Space Law, representing China Institute of Space Law, expressed their gratitude and presented her with the Extraordinary Contribution Award.
