BIT and Brazilian team hold International Friendly Soccer Match

    On October 18, 2016, in order to promote the development of campus football and enhance education and cultural exchange between China and Brazil, a friendly match was held between the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) soccer team and the Brazilian Palmeiras youth soccer team in the Zhongguancun campus stadium. The game went on well with the support of the Office of Chinese Language Council International.

 

 

    Yang Bin, Executive Vice-President of BIT, Wang Bencong, President Assistant of BIT, Tang Shuiyuan, Director of the Center of International Communication and Cooperation, Dong Zhaobo, Director of the Department of Sports and Ren Shifang, Deputy Director of Section of North America in the Office of Chinese Language Council International, were at present and enjoyed watching the game.

 

 

    At the beginning of the game, the two sides were soon on the fierce duel and were evenly matched. The game lasted more than an hour and when it was finally over, both teams shook hands to honor this great game and for the sake of friendship. Chinese and Brazilian players perfectly interpret the charm of soccer with their superb footwork and ingenious skill of breaking through. Football etiquette and spirit of young players was shown. The audience also was presented a wonderful sports performance.
