BIT Holds Summing-up Meeting of CSC Clean Energy Talents Training Program

  In order to adapt to the strategic need of the national energy development and cultivate outstanding talents in clean energy, China Scholarship Council(CSC)started a Top-Notch Innovative Talents Training Program since 2017, aiming to help talented people who specialized in international clean energy development. Following the project assessment and before-going-abroad training held in Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in February and June respectively, the summing-up meeting of the program was also held as scheduled at the main building in BIT on Dec. 14th. School of Management and Economics of BIT organized the three activities mentioned above.

  The attendees included Zhang Ning, deputy secretary general of CSC, Liang Zhipeng, vice director of new energy department of National Energy Administration, Cheng Jiayi, director of bureau of international cooperation of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Zengping, vice president of North China Electric Power University, Zhu Shengzhen, manager of Beijing Sales Branch of China National Petroleum Corporation, Ren Dongming, director of CNREC of NDRC’s Energy Research Institute, Yang Yazheng, assistant to the president of BIT, Wang Zhaohua, secretary of the party committee of School of Management and Economics, as well as 43 students who had overseas study experience. The meeting was hosted by deputy secretary general of CSC Li Qing.

  Yang Yazheng made a speech and welcomed the participating leaders, experts and students. As a representative of the academic visiting group, Professor Wang Ke from School of Management and Economics of BIT reported students’ lives in Mälardalens högskola, including scientific research and study condition. Students introduced the research situation and the following cooperation plan in groups and shared about the feelings of studying in Sweden. They all expressed their sincere gratitude to CSC for giving them this great opportunity to study abroad and for the platform to international communication.




  Jinyue Yan, Chair Professor of Mälardalens högskola and editor-in-chief of the Applied Energy, summarized the development of the program in Sweden as the foreign organizer and undertaker of this activity. He praised students’ rigorous style of doing scientific researches, congratulated on the fruitful result and look forward to the following development. Leaders and specialists gave congratulation to the students and encouraged them to stay motivated, treasure the opportunity of studying abroad and make efforts to overcome difficulties. In the end they offered best wishes for the future success of students’ overseas study.

  Zhang Ning delivered a concluding speech, in which he summarized the program running situation in the preceding phase and encouraged students to make persistent efforts in the following foreign study and take full advantage of the precious opportunity of overseas study. He hoped students to tap their potential when doing research, promote research level and adopt an international outlook.




  Zhang Ning, Li Qing as well as other leaders had an in-depth discussion with the students, during which they listened to students’ improvement suggestion and offered detailed answers to concerned hot Issues.

  After the meeting, Zhang Ning, Li Qing, Jinyue Yan and Wang Zhaohua exchanged ideas about the further development of the program.
