National One Thousand People Plan” Long-term Project

1.The experts and scholars holding posts equivalent to professorships in Foreign famous universities, research institutes,

 

2. Age: not above 55.


3.
Minimum time of service: at least three years, not less than nine months for each year.

National level

1.Endowing foreign talents introduced and their spouses and minor children with "permanent residence permit" ;

2. With the introduction of the Chinese nationality talent from abroad before domicile restrictions, select any of the cities in the country settled;

3.The talents introduced who have Chinese nationality can settle down hukou in any city without the limitation of residency policies;

4.One million Yuan allowance per person from the central finance;

School level:

5. Directly identified as the class-two professor;

6.The school provides start-up funds, office and research space according to needs;

7.The talents may have assistants and build a research team by themselves;

8. Wages and benefits refer to the standards before they return .The school provides housing subsidies.

National “One Thousand People Plan” Short-term Project

 

1.The experts and scholars holding posts equivalent to professorships in Foreign famous universities, research institutes,

1.Five hundred thousand Yuan allowance per person from the central finance;

2. Handling immigration, health care, insurance and other formalities for talents according to their actual needs.

4.Providing funds for scientific commissions, buildings for offices and scientific use on demand.

5. Equipped with working assistantsestablishing academic groups by the school itself.

6. The wages in China being equivalent to that of abroad.

Outside the Country “One Thousand People plan”

1. Non-Chinese and foreign experts are introduced to China for 3 years’ work, no less than 9 months a year.

2. Applicants should meet the criteria of the introducing standards for “One thousand people plan”.

3. Applicants should not be over 65 years old.

Execute according to the national regulations and the rules of the school.

National Youth “One thousand people plan”

1. Age: Under 40 years old.

2. Acquiring a doctorate degree in a prestigious university abroad and having experience of scientific research abroad for 3 years.

3. Acquiring a doctorate degree at home and being dedicated to teaching and research work for more than 5 years abroad.

4. Having formal teaching and scientific research positions in prestigious universities, scientific institutions and designing department of famous enterprises.

5. After the introduction, applicants should work full-time in China.

National level
1.One-time subsidy by National Finance, 500,000 per person.

 2.Scientific allowances by National Finance1,000,000-3,000,000 according to different levels.

School level

3.Professors appointed by school directly.

4.Equipped with the necessary devises for scientific work, offices, and equipment in the offices.

5.Equipped with founds for launching scientific programs according to the funds allocated by the government.

6. Equipped with working assistants.

7.Wages and subsidy paid to professors and a certain amount of living subsidy given.

Chang Jiang Scholars” Distinguished Professors of the Ministry of Education

1.Applicants in the fields of natural science, engineering technology should be under 45 years old and those in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences should be under 55.

2. Possessing a doctorate degree and working in a scientific research underway. Oversea applicants should be at least assistant professors in high-level universities or hold higher positions. Domestic applicants should have the position of professor.

3. Working full-time during 5 years’ employment.

National level

1.Bonus of 200,000 per person annually.

2.“Developmental Plan for Innovation Groups” by the Ministry of Education supports strongly for the academic groups led by Chang Jiang scholars.

School level

3.Professors appointed directly by the school.

4.Funds for natural science subjects no less than2,000,000 and those for social science subjects no less than 500,000.

5.Enjoying the wages and subsidies of second-level professors and a certain amount of living subsidy provided.

6.Equipped with working assistants and academic echelons, providing a good working environment and living conditions

Chang Jiang Scholars” Chair Professors of the Ministry of Education

1.      Possessing a doctorate degree and working in an underway scientific research overseas. The applicants are supposed to hold professorship in high-level universities or have other equivalent positions

2.     The applicant should have profound academic attainments and be influential in one’s own field and has once achieved great accomplishments recognized universally.

3.     Working at least 2 months in our school each year during 5 years’ employment

1.     Professor appointed directly by the school

2.      Providing a certain amount of start-up funds and providing a certain area of houses used for scientific research and some office space.

3.      Equipped with working assistants

4.     The salary is 30000 per month according to the exact working hours

The Outstanding Talents of the New Century of the Ministry of Education

1.      Possessing a doctorate degree and working in the high-level universities or scientific institutions overseas, being employed as an assistant professor, lecturer or other equivalent positions

2.      The applicant has once achieved important accomplishments and can become the excellent academic leader in one’s own field.

3.      Applicants in the fields of natural science should be under 40 years old and those in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences should be under 45.

4.      After the introduction, the applicant should work full-time in China.

1.     Professor or vice-professor appointed according to the level of scholarship

2.      Providing the start-up funds (funds for natural science subjects no less than500,000 and those for social science subjects no less than 200,000.Providing the necessary scientific research conditions and working conditions

3.     Acquiring the performance bonus of professors

“Xu Teli” Distinguished Professors of Beijing Institute of Technology

1.     Possessing a doctorate degree and working in an underway scientific research overseas.  Applicants in the fields of natural science should be under 40 years old and those in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences should be under 45.

2.     The oversea applicants are supposed to be at least assistant professor in high-level universities or hold higher positions or possess the equivalent academic attainment.

3.     The applicants should be equal to the teaching task of the core course and have once achieved the important scientific accomplishment recognized by the peers at home and abroad.

4.     The applicants should have the development potential, innovative ideas and strategic thinking about the subject.

5.      Working full-time in our school during the 3 years’ employment.

1.    Different status of professor appointed according to the achievement and the level of scholarship

2.     Funds for natural science subjects are 400,000 and those for social science subjects are 200,000.

3.     Equipped with the necessary devises for scientific work, offices, and equipment in the offices.

4.     Equipped with working assistants

5.     Wages and subsidies paid to professors during the employment and a certain amount of living subsidy given.

“Xu Teli” Chair Professors of Beijing Institute of Technology

1.     Possessing a doctorate degree and working in an underway scientific research overseas. The applicants are supposed to be at least associate professors in high-level universities or have other equivalent positions

2.     The applicant should have profound academic attainments and be influential in one’s own field and has once achieved great accomplishments recognized universally.

3.      Possessing the capability of expanding the international scientific collaboration and academic communication in one’s own field

4.     Working 3-6 months each year in our school during the 3 years’ employments and in spite of the special reasons, the applicants should work no less than 2 months.

1.     Different status of professor appointed according to the achievement and the level of scholarship

2.     A certain amount of scientific research fund will be provided.

3.      Equipped with the necessary devises for scientific work, offices, and equipment in the offices.

4.      The wages will be paid according to the standards of professors in BIT, and the subsidies, such as the expanse of accommodations and international travel, the upper limit is  700 per person per day.

“The Plan of Supporting the Development of the Excellent Young and Mid-aged Teachers”

1.     Possessing a doctorate degree and working in the high-level universities or scientific institutions overseas, being employed as an assistant professor, lecturer or other higher positions.

2.      The applicants should have the capability of teaching and doing scientific research equivalent to the higher vocational posts and high level of scholarship. The applicants should have the experience of leading or participating in the international frontier issues and have published some influential essays on the major international academic journals. The applicants should also have the extensive contacts the academic influence all over the world.

3.      Age: Under 40 years old, giving priority to the applicants under 35 years old.

4.      After the introduction, applicants should work full-time in our school.

1.     Professor or vice-professor appointed according to the level of scholarship

2.      Providing 300,000 as the start-up funds and the necessary working conditions.

3.      Acquiring the performance bonus of professors.

4.      Providing the subsidy of settlement no more than 500,000 and enjoying the wages and welfare benefits according to the rules of BIT

The Merit-based Subsidizing Program of “Supporting Plan for the Excellent Young Teachers ”

1.      The applicants should have certain level of scholarship and development potential. The applicants of the teaching programs should have once shouldered the teaching task of the subject and the teaching ability is outstanding. The applicants should also have a profound understanding in personnel training and educational reform.

2.     The applicants should be the teachers employed in recent three years and the support will focus on the excellent young teacher whose age is under 35.

The start-up funds will be provided:

1.     The research type: funds for natural science subjects are no more than100,000 and those for philosophy and social science subjects are 50,000.

2.     The teaching type: no more than 50,000

The Persistent Subsidizing Program of “Supporting Plan for the Excellent Young Teachers”

1.      After the merit-based subsidizing program ended

2.     The applicants have achieved certain research accomplishment and have greater development potential

Providing the scientific research funds no more than 200,000

The Interdisciplinary Subsidizing Program for  the Elite  Young Teachers

1.      The members of the program should have their clear-cut assignment and cooperation. They should have a clear goal about the programa creative academic idea and a proper research approach and technology roadmap

2.      The members should come from more than two different schools of the university and the average age should be under 35 years old. The number of the members should not be over 4.

Funds for natural science subjects are no more than200,000 and those for philosophy and social science subjects are 100,000.

 

Recruiting the Overseas Professors Publicly

 

1.        Possessing a doctorate degree and working in the high-level universities or scientific institutions overseas, being employed as an assistant professor, lecturer or other higher positions.

2.        The academic level should be over the standard of professors in BITand the professors should have a clear academic thoughtoutstanding capability of creationand relatively stable direction of study and outstanding academic performance and prominent academic achievement

3.        The age of professor should under 40.

4.        The applicants should work full-time after being employed.

1.      Attending the examination about the position of BIT

2.      Providing the necessary conditions of working and scientific research.

3.      Receiving the salary according to the rules of BIT

4.      As an assistant professor in the oversea well-known university the young teachers will receive extra 100,000 every year. As a vice-professor you will receive 180,000 per year. And this kind of sponsorship will last 3 years.

 

Recruiting the Overseas Vice-professor Publicly

1.      Possessing a doctorate degree and working in the high-level universities or scientific institutions overseas,

2.      The academic level should be over the standard of professors in BITand the professors should have a clear academic thoughtoutstanding capability of creationand relatively stable direction of study and outstanding academic performance and prominent academic achievement

3.      The age of professor should under 35 years old

4.      The applicants should work full-time after being employed.

Receiving Overseas Graduate Students

1.        The students should graduate from overseas high-level university or have a doctorate degree or post-doctorate degree of research institute. 

2.        The students should under 32 years old or under 35 years old if you are the elite student or are an associate Senior Professional technician.

1.      Receiving the salary according to the rules of BIT

2.      If you are a young teacher who have a doctorate degree and graduated from the university which is among the top 100 universities in the world (Shanghai Jiao Tong University delivered the list of ranking universities), you will receive extra 800,000 every year and the sponsorship will last 3 years.

Employing Approach:

The oversea applicants can log in the employing system of talents or graduates of BIT (http://bitrs.bit.edu.cn/rs) and fill in the application materials or email your detailed resume to the Department of Personnel or the related schools of BIT. The detailed resume should include: the education background, the working experience, the academic part-time job experience, the situation of the scientific program once you have led or participated, the typical academic accomplishment, the list of your important work published, the situation of your works being quoted and the contact information. The applicants can give clear indication of the talents program applied for in the email.

  The university will organize the related departments to examine the materials after the university received the detailed resume of the applicant. After the primary examination passed, the university will ask the applicant to fill in the related application form and hand in the full texts of 5 typical essays and the related supporting material. The university will organize the experts to evaluate the applicants’ materials. After the evaluation, the university will report the talents plan to the Beijing city and the related departments of the nation, or bring in and employ the applicants in the university directly.
