Research Area

My research focuses on experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics. The ultimate goal is to design and prepare new materials for spintronics and information technology. One particular focus of my research at present is to understand how intrinsic and extrinsic defects will affect electronic, magnetic and transport properties of the materials and accordingly engineer them to maximize performance. I am also developing new method to manipulate the spin states of magnetic nanostructures.
