BIT welcomed 636 new international students from 91 countries from Aug 31 to Sept 1.
Before their arrival, BIT International Student Center had planned and coordinated various tasks, including airport pickup, luggage storage, registration, accommodation arrangements, campus tours, orientation sessions, and the provision of necessary comforts to help them settle in.
BIT held a welcome ceremony at its Zhongguancun Campus on Sept 7 for these students.
Following this, the International Student Center organized various activities including on-site legal education by police officers, special lectures on cross-cultural communication and psychological health by experts from the School of Humanities, and relevant guidance from relevant departments and teaching staff. There were also lectures and presentations on school rules and regulations, school history and culture, major introductions, peer learning assistance, living guides in Beijing, and laboratory safety education. These activities aimed to help new students understand China's laws and regulations, familiarize themselves with campus life, clarify their study plans, and quickly adapt to university life.
