School of Marxism

The predecessor to the BIT's School of Marxism was the first teaching and research office in 1952, which focused on political teaching and research. Over time, the institution evolved, and in 1999, it merged into the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. In 2009, the Department of Marxist Theory Teaching and Research was established, which later became the School of Marxism in 2014.

The school has seven teaching and research rooms, including courses on Marxism, Chinese history, and moral development. It also has teaching platforms such as the Beijing Interactive Media Art Engineering Technology Research Center and the Beijing Political Theory Teachers Studio. In November 2019, the school was selected as a key construction Marxist school in Beijing, and the school was approved to add a doctoral degree authorization point for a first-level discipline in March 2020.
