BIT and CCCC sign cooperation agreement for 'Study at BIT' Uganda Workstation

Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) held a signing ceremony for the "BIT-CCCC 'Study at BIT' Uganda Workstation" cooperation agreement on March 1. 

Han Guoming, chairman of CCCC First Highway Engineering Co, Zhao Wei, secretary of the Party Committee of the company’s Overseas Business Department, and Wei Mingshan, assistant to the President of BIT, attended the signing ceremony.

Wei warmly welcomed the arrival of Han and his delegation, and introduced the development history of BIT and its outstanding achievements in recent years in talent cultivation, scientific research and international education. 

He expressed the hope that both sides could further deepen practical cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research and achievement transformation based on the establishment of the "Study at BIT" Uganda Workstation, continuously enhance the strategic partnership, and join hands in the journey of accelerating the construction of the world-class enterprise and university for mutual development.

Han said that CCCC and its subsidiary, CCCC First Highway Engineering Co, attach great importance to the cultivation, introduction and management of international talents, and actively participate in international competition to advance the strategy of strengthening enterprises with talents in the new era. 

He hoped that through the jointly established "Study at BIT" Uganda Workstation, both sides could provide abundant international talent resources for CCCC and its subsidiary, and provide a more solid guarantee of international talent for the establishment of a comprehensive localized talent support system and the cultivation of overseas first-class talent teams.

During the meeting, Wang Ying, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the Office of International Students, introduced the development history and achievements of BIT's international education and the education of international students in China.

Before the signing ceremony, Han and his delegation visited the university's historical museum.

Representatives from the Southeast Africa Regional Center of CCCC First Highway Engineering Co, Haiwei Company, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and the International Students Center of BIT, participated in the event.
