The final of the 12th National College Student Optoelectronic Design Competition (North China Division) opens at BIT.
The final of the 12th National College Student Optoelectronic Design Competition (North China Division) took place at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) on August 2.
Representatives and experts from optoelectronic institutions, universities and renowned enterprises from around China attended the opening ceremony.
More than 200 teams from around 40 universities in North China participated in the fierce competition.
After a day of intensive competition, 57 projects excelled to win first prizes. Among these, 53 projects have been recommended to compete on behalf of the North China region in the national final.
Wang Bo, BIT's vice-president, said that the optoelectronic design competition, as an important national platform, holds significant value for student innovation, entrepreneurial education and exchanges between universities and industries.
As the organizer of the competition, BIT attaches great importance to it and hopes it will inspire more students to engage in exploring the optoelectronic industry and contribute to the development of the nation, he added.
