Students from Beijing Institute of Technology receive their awards at the 17th National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction.
The finals of the 17th National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction has recently wrapped up in Qingdao, Shandong province.
Nine teams from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) set a record in winning awards for the university: one special award, one first prize, one second prize and six third prizes. In addition, BIT has also won the excellent organization award.
The contest, with the theme of "Energy Saving, Emission Reduction, and Green Energy," closely revolves around national energy and environmental policies, and integrates green development, as well as the "dual carbon" strategy. It is a guiding and demonstrative national competition for university students.
This year's competition attracted a total of 642 domestic and international universities to participate, which was a record high.
