In the recent First National Cross-border E-commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of College Students 2024, a team of undergraduates from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) School of Management stood out among more than 3,200 teams with over 10,000 participants nationwide and won a special prize.
The team members who participated in the competition are from the joint Bachelor's degree program in Information Management and Information Systems - English established by BIT and Beijing Foreign Studies University. They applied knowledge in management, data analysis, large language models, business intelligence and other fields to carefully analyze and research business problems. Using a systematic methodology, they focused on a representative type of cross-border e-commerce operational issue. After several rounds of revisions, they proposed solutions that were highly recognized by the competition judges.
This national-level competition aimed to provide innovative solutions for Chinese enterprises engaged in cross-border e-commerce and to cultivate talents in cross-border e-commerce innovation. It started in October 2024 and lasted for about three months, attracting 3,225 teams from 524 universities and over 10,000 students and teachers. After rigorous evaluations in the preliminary, semifinal and final rounds, four teams outperformed others to win the top awards in three competition categories.
