Beijing Institute of Technology welcomes Nie Shengkui and his team to conduct research and exchanges.
Nie Shengkui, a senior official at the Foreign Expert Service Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, led a team to the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) for research and exchanges on March 21.
Jiang Lan, BIT's president, welcomed Nie and his delegation to the university, and thanked the department for its strong support for BIT over the years.
Jiang said that BIT will rely on its existing platforms and resources to further leverage the characteristics and advantages of disciplines, and enhance the effectiveness of talent introduction work. He hopes that the department can provide greater support to the university in policy guidance, resource docking, platform construction, and other aspects.
Nie highly affirmed BIT's educational achievements, scientific research strength, and internationalization work.
He pointed out that the university has made remarkable achievements in serving the national strategic needs. It should continue to play its own advantages, deepen high-level international cooperation, actively promote international exchange of talents, and contribute its strength to accelerating the construction of a powerful country in education, science and technology, as well as in professionals.
Wei Yiming, BIT's vice-president, introduced the progress of the university's work in course development, technological innovation, talent cultivation and international cooperation.
