International students at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) recently took part in the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum held in Beijing on March 27-31.
This year's forum, on the theme "New Quality Productive Forces and Global Technological Cooperation", featured 5 major sections and 128 events, focusing on cutting-edge areas such as AI large models, quantum technology, and 6G, and gathering the world's top scientific and technological forces.
BIT international students participated in the event as contestants, attendees and volunteers, showcasing the outstanding charm of "Studying in BIT" and attracting attention and coverage from major media outlets.

In the Zhongguancun International Advanced Technology Competition, one of the regular events in this forum series, the Greta Oto team, led by Iranian doctoral student Mojtaba from BIT´s School of Optoelectronics, stood out with their project "Intelligent Nano-optical Endoscopic Capsule" among 16 outstanding cutting-edge technology projects from countries and regions including the UK, the US, Switzerland, South Korea and Russia. The team made it to the top 5 of the competition, demonstrating BIT´s leading level in optical engineering and medical technology, as well as the excellent research capabilities of its international students.
Twenty-one of its postgraduate international students were invited to attend the Beijing International Youth Innovation Development Forum. This parallel of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting focuses on advancing education, science and technology, and talent development.

Meanwhile, in the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum, BIT selected seven volunteer students from seven countries, who contributed their youthful energy with professional service and warm smiles in positions such as guest guidance and information consultation.
From the laboratory to the international stage, and from academic research to volunteer service, international students at BIT are active participants in China's technological innovation in diverse roles. Their outstanding performances not only demonstrate the fine results of the university's international talent cultivation but also serve as a vivid footnote in promoting exchanges of scientific and technological culture between China and foreign countries.
