The 2025 China Study Abroad Forum (CSAF) recently held the award ceremony for the 2024 "My Beautiful Encounter with China" essay competition. Six international students from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) secured a first prize, a second prize and four honorable mentions.

Representatives of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange and the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education, as well as diplomats from 24 countries and regions, representatives from Chinese and foreign universities, and officials from educational authorities participated in the ceremony.

In this essay competition, BIT international students submitted over 100 works, and their words have well reflected their sincere emotions and experiences, showcasing the brilliant spectrum of Chinese civilization. Their writings narrated a genuine, multidimensional and comprehensive portrayal of China to the world.

The "My Beautiful Encounter with China" essay competition provided a friendly platform for students from diverse cultural backgrounds to engage in exchanges. BIT has always attached great importance to this initiative, actively guiding and encouraging international students to participate and present their own deep resonance with Chinese civilization from a variety of perspectives.

Moving forward, BIT will continue to assist international students in gaining a deep understanding of Chinese culture, enhance their sense of achievement and happiness of studying in China and enabling them to become friendly ambassadors of cultural exchange who tell China's story and spread China's voice at home and abroad.
