Digital exhibition of architectural decorative art in Dunhuang murals held at BIT

The "Spiritual Realm of Heavenly Palace - Digital Exhibition of Architectural Decorative Art in Dunhuang Murals" opened at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) on May 11. The opening ceremony was attended by university scholars, industry experts and others.

This exhibition includes analyses of the Dunhuang murals’ architectural decorations and architectural line drawing color restoration, demonstrations of AI generation technology and dynamic layering technology, 3D printing model displays, architectural digital interactive games, UMR immersive interactive experiences and cultural and creative design displays.

It is divided into six major sections, focusing on the profound cultural connotations, diverse decorative techniques, and spatial creation wisdom of Dunhuang murals through digital restoration and analysis. The exhibition provides art designers and theoretical researchers with intuitive, rich visual materials and innovative research resources.

Visitors to the exhibition acknowledged the academic value and practical significance of this exhibition, stating that it has made a positive contribution to promoting relevant academic research, dissemination and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the field of Dunhuang architectural decoration.
