BIT holds SGG Talk on May 25.

Fabrizio Hochschild-Drummond, former UN under-secretary-general and researcher at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, was the keynote speaker. Drawing on his thirty plus years of experience in the United Nations system, he discussed four main themes with the faculty and students present: the development trajectory and future trends of the United Nations, global security governance and the multilateral order, career development paths in international organizations, and science diplomacy and interdisciplinary talent cultivation.

He encouraged young students to enhance their cross-cultural communication skills, integrate their personal development with global issues, and enhance their international competence through multilateral practices.

This SGG Talk represents a vivid practice of the BIT's efforts to promote the construction of an international talent training system, strengthen interdisciplinary integration, and cultivate a practice-oriented education mechanism. It signifies the official launch of BIT's Global Employment Capacity Development Program.

BIT has consistently regarded the cultivation and delivery of high-quality compound talents with global employability and international competitiveness in the new era as an important measure to implement the strategy of strengthening the country through education and innovating talent development models. The Global Employment Capacity Development Program will leverage a high-level faculty team that includes former senior officials from international organizations and seasoned diplomats to implement diverse training methods such as course instruction, career dialogues, and scenario simulations. Through these efforts, the program aims to enhance students' international employability, global competence, and innovative strategic thinking, thereby nurturing a new generation of young leaders with a combination of patriotism and an international perspective for international organizations.
