Five projects independently planned and applied for by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) Press as well as a project jointly applied for with Jilin Publishing Group have recently been approved and selected in the list of projects funded by the National Publishing Fund for 2025. The number of BIT's selected projects reached a historical high.
In this selection, BIT Press ranked second among the more than 580 publishing houses nationwide and first among science and engineering publishing houses.
Over the past 14 years, a total of 39 BIT Press projects have been selected for funding by the National Publishing Fund. From 2020 to 2025, its number of approved projects ranked second among university presses and sixth among all Chinese publishing houses, and it consistently maintained a leading position in specialized publishing fields such as aerospace.
The six projects selected this time continue to build on the strengths of the university's key disciplines, exploring emerging medical engineering fields, while also establishing a stronghold in high-quality humanities publishing and continuously improving the layout of the academic publishing system.
In recent years, BIT Press has consistently upheld tradition while fostering innovation, achieving breakthrough development, and focusing on national major development strategies and major scientific research achievements, and promoting the cultivation of high-end talents. The press has continuously released academic masterpieces.
In the future, BIT Press will continue to enhance its capabilities in serving national scientific and technological innovation and cultural prosperity, making greater contributions to advancing the university's "double first-class" construction initiative.
