The 2025 Automotive Big Data Application Industry Conference, jointly hosted by the Automotive Big Data Application Branch of the China Society of Automotive Engineers and Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), was held in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area on May 29.

The conference focused on the core role of automotive big data in electrification, intelligence and networking transformation, and was attended by more than 300 industry representatives.

At the conference, Chinese Academy of Engineering academician Sun Fengchun and vice- chairman of the China Society of Automotive Engineers Hou Fushen jointly unveiled the nameplate of the Automotive Big Data Application Branch of the China Society of Automotive Engineers.

The branch will be dedicated to promoting the rights of automotive big data, establishing a standard system and implementing technological applications. The secretariat will be located at BIT.

Sun gave a speech focused on the application of big data in the field of transportation and energy integration. He highlighted the trends in the application of big data in vehicle energy management, vehicle-road-cloud collaborative control, vehicle-charging pile coordination, vehicle-network interaction and the aftermarket sector.

Looking to the future, the industry will continue to rely on data and technological innovation to drive the sustainable development of intelligent connected vehicles and new energy vehicles.
