The Fifth National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers has recently concluded at the Liangxiang Campus of the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT).
In the competition, 88 teachers (teams) secured first prizes, 205 teachers (teams) earned second prizes, and 295 teachers (teams) won third prizes. Additionally, 21 institutions received the Excellent Organization Award.
During the competition, six academic events were held concurrently, inviting industry experts and leading figures to engage in discussions. They explored hot topics such as generative artificial intelligence, innovation and entrepreneurship, quality education, cultivating top-notch innovative talent, training high-level talent with national defense characteristics, and collaborative education programs.
Jiang Lan, BIT's president, stated at the closing ceremony of the event that this competition has provided a valuable platform for university teachers across the country to showcase, exchange, and enhance their skills. He expressed the hope that teachers will maintain the courage to "break boundaries" and the determination to "deeply cultivate", transforming the exchange of ideas and insights gained from the competition into the "educational genes" of their teaching practice, thereby continually improving their capabilities and proficiency.
