Warm congratulations to the new international students preparing to join the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) community! To ensure that your study‑abroad journey gets off to a smooth and rewarding start, please read this notice carefully and complete all required enrollment and check‑in procedures as instructed.

Online Pre-registration

Detailed notices and attachments will be sent to each student's application email in the near future. Please check your email regularly.

1. Open the website of BIT International Students Service System, download the "Study Abroad Assistance" app, and bind your study information.

2. Make an Online Payment for Tuition (for self-fund students) and Medical Insurance (for all). Save a screenshot of the payment/transaction to be uploaded in Step 3. 

3. Complete the online pre-registration via the "Study Abroad Assistance" app.

Please complete these steps between August 22 and 26, 2025.

On-campus registration

1. Date: September 4 - September 5, 2025.

2. Time & Venue: 9:00-17:00 (Beijing Time)

Details of the registration location will be communicated to you by email.

3. List of required documents: 

Original copy of passport (valid for at least six months) and valid X1 visa. If not, students themselves shall bear adverse consequence; 

Printed copy of admission notice;

Printed copy of JW202 form or JW201 form; 

Two 2-inch photos with white background;

Certificate of Study Termination or Transfer Letter from other Chinese university (if any); 

Original copy of the highest degree certificate; 

Parents' passports front pages, Birth Certificate authenticated by Chinese Embassy/Consulate (with Chinese translation required), notarized Guardianship Statement (for students aged under 18 ONLY); 

Physical Examination Report (if any) ( X1 visa holders, if you have a medical examination report within 6 months, please provide it, which needs to be certified by a designated medical examination center in Beijing);

Accommodation Registration (for students who live off campus ONLY)

Please submit the signed hard copy of the Beijing Institute of Technology International Student Registration Form, along with all required acknowledgement documents. (The list of documents to be submitted will be sent to each student's application email in the near future.)

Airport pick-up service

School provides pick-up service (8:30-17:00 on September 4 - September 5 ONLY) at the Beijing Capital International Airport/the Beijing Daxing International Airport. Further details to be released soon. Due to relevant visa policy requirements, it is recommended that students entering China with an X1 visa do not arrive earlier than September 1.

Welcome week/Orientation

September 4-12 is welcome week, and orientation session will be scheduled accordingly. During this week, students shall attend opening ceremony, cross-culture lecture, law education lecture, campus tour, and physical examination etc. In addition, students shall do accommodation registration, open bank card, buy SIM card and choose elective courses. Classes officially start on September 15. 

Orientation timetable will be released upon arrival.

If you fail to register on time, you are required to provide an official explanation in email to BIT Office of International Students one week in advance.
