Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) held its 2025 mid-year work conference at the Wenbo Center in the Liangxiang Campus in Beijing on August 29.
The meeting was attended by all BIT's present and former leaders, academicians, faculty representatives, retired staff representatives, as well as student representatives.
BIT President Jiang Lan delivered the work report for the first half of the year, highlighting that from January to June, BIT made new progress in high-quality development.
Jiang emphasized the need to build the School of AI with high quality and develop an AI-enabled service system. He said it is important to enhance the supply of quality teaching resources and provide long-term stable support for young talents. Efforts should also be made to promote green and high-quality resource assurance, strengthen scientific governance in university management and teaching, and improve the research and education mechanism, in a bid to drive the integrated development of education, technology, and talent of BIT.
Zhang Jun, secretary of the CPC BIT Committee, delivered a concluding speech.
Zhang pointed out that in the first half of this year, BIT's endeavors maintained a stable yet progressive trend, enabling the university to achieve new breakthroughs in key areas and crucial indicators. He also emphasized the need to coordinate resources and boost morale to consolidate the momentum of the university’s high-quality development.
