2025 Higher Education and Secondary Education Transition Forum opens at BIT

On Sept 12, the third Higher Education and Secondary Education Transition Forum was held at the Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). The event was attended by over 80 leaders from 70 key high schools nationwide, along with heads of provincial admissions teams.

The gathering aimed to enhance collaboration and understanding between secondary and higher education institutions, focusing on improving the transition process for students.

Wang Bo, BIT's vice president, warmly welcomed leaders from various high schools. He expressed his gratitude to the high schools for their long-standing support and trust toward BIT. Wang emphasized that bridging the gap between universities and high schools to create an integrated and intelligent talent cultivation system has become a consensus among major countries and world-class universities. He highlighted that advancing the transition between secondary and higher education is crucial for improving the quality of talent development and adapting to future societal needs.

Wang underscored the university's strong commitment to talent cultivation, emphasizing its ongoing efforts to enhance effective collaboration with high schools. During his address, Wang also provided a comprehensive overview of BIT, detailing 10 aspects, including its unique historical position and cutting-edge research capabilities.

In the future, BIT will work closely with high schools to expand and deepen communication and collaboration, exploring new comprehensive talent cultivation models and nurturing more outstanding and innovative individuals to contribute to building a strong nation in education, science, and talent.
