Academician Cholponkul Arabaev, vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, visited the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) on Oct 27 to engage in discussions about academic exchange and cooperation.

During his visit, Arabaev delivered an academic lecture titled "The Impact of National Spirit on Global Scientific Development". He explored how national spirit influences global scientific progress, highlighting Kyrgyzstan's approach of integrating traditional wisdom with modern research under the theme "National Spirit, Global Heights".

Arabaev explained that this approach has led to significant achievements in fields such as ecology, agriculture, and cultural heritage preservation in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that scientific and educational cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan, particularly under the Belt and Road Initiative, is a crucial pathway to advancing scientific development and enhancing international influence for both countries.

During his visit, both parties agreed to establish a strategic partnership, focusing on international law, regional and national law. The initiative is to collaborate on high-level scientific research, jointly build a high-caliber talent team, and comprehensively deepen long-term cooperation in scientific research and talent development.
