The 2025 international Chinese teaching skills (North China region) exchange event was held in Beijing on Oct 25. The teaching team from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) stood out among nine teams from the North China region and earned the title of "Best Smart Education Team" at the event.

As a flagship event in international Chinese education, this year's exchange conference, focusing on the theme "Empowering Teaching, Leading with Wisdom," welcomed high-quality educational resources from 25 institutions across Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Shanxi.

In their instructional design, the team followed the principle of "new learning activating old knowledge, and old knowledge facilitating new understanding". The teaching approach focused on knowledge, culture, and emotional goals, leveraging smart classrooms and the LeXue education platform. They utilized AI tools such as DeepSeek, JiMeng, DouBao, and VR interactive media to create a personalized and efficient Chinese language classroom. The curriculum integrated ideological and political elements with local and municipal contexts, combining traditional culture teaching, intangible cultural heritage experiences, language enhancement, and quality development. The content was rich, the methods diverse, and the evaluation multifaceted. The aim was to help international students in China develop an objective, comprehensive, and positive view of China, contributing to the cultivation of internationally-minded talents who know and befriend China.

The outstanding performance of the teaching team from the BIT International Student Center at this exchange event not only highlighted the team members' professional expertise in international Chinese education and their innovative spirit of exploration, but also demonstrated BIT's leading capabilities and significant achievements in the field of smart teaching.
