Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Beijing Film Academy (BFA) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on April 23 in Beijing.

Zhou Zhijun, secretary of the CPC BFA Committee, welcomed the BIT delegation and expressed the admiration for BIT's contributions to technological innovation and national defense.
Zhou stated that this agreement marks an important milestone in the mutual advancement and innovative integration of art and science. She highlighted that both universities aim to deeply integrate film arts with cutting-edge technology, breaking down disciplinary barriers to produce a series of art-engineering fusion outcomes that reflect Chinese standards and aesthetics.
Zhang Jun, secretary of the CPC BIT Committee, congratulated BFA on its recent educational achievements.
He emphasized the importance of merging scientific spirit with humanistic qualities, innovating joint talent cultivation models, and promoting interdisciplinary integration across fields such as artificial intelligence, optics, computer science, instrumentation, materials, design, art, and photography. The goal is to develop emerging interdisciplinary fields like intelligent and future imaging, setting an example for cultural and technological integration and contributing to high-quality development.

Following the exchanges, the two universities signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement. The agreement outlines collaboration in talent cultivation, creative practice, academic research, and cultural innovation, jointly setting a benchmark for art-engineering integration and contributing to the construction of a strong education nation.
