The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) welcomed its 2026 cohort of graduate students on Sept 11, with registration taking place at the Zhongguancun and Liangxiang campuses in Beijing and the Zhuhai campus in Guangdong province.

"Welcome to BIT — your future is BIT's future, and we look forward to hearing the good news you will bring," BIT President Jiang Lan told the incoming students on the registration site.
He encouraged them to challenge conventional thinking and be innovative, and to embrace both the opportunities and challenges created by new technologies.
Volunteers were also dispatched to transport hubs in Beijing and Zhuhai to guide the new arrivals and help them with their luggage.
The Zhuhai campus is hosting its third intake of graduate students while at the same time welcoming its first cohort of international undergraduates into its residential college system. Bilingual signage and services highlighted the campus's international character.

On registration day, more than 1,000 new students toured the university's Culture and Museum Center, exploring BIT's history through its archival collections.
BIT-branded cultural and creative products were also distributed at the check-in sites to mark the start of their graduate study journey.
