Recently, the online review results of the 2022 International Exhibition of inventions of Geneva were announced. The "Flying Eagle" team of the School of Aerospace Engineering of BIT won gold awards for the UAV prevention and control system project for urban environment and the vehicle autonomous takeoff and landing flight control module project.
The International Exhibition of inventions of Geneva was founded in 1973 in the last century and held once a year (not held in 2020 due to the impact of the epidemic), By 2022, 47 offline exhibitions and 2 online special exhibitions have been successfully held. The International Exhibition of inventions of Geneva is one of the world's largest intellectual property exhibitions jointly organized by the Swiss government, the federal government of Geneva, Geneva Municipality and WIPO.

Project Name: UAV prevention and control system project suitable for urban environment
Project Member: Wu zeliang, Lin Defu, Song Tao, Tao Hong, Jia Zikai, Miao Han, Wang Yijing and Chen Qi
Project Introduction: Based on the needs of UAV prevention and control in urban environment, the team innovatively realizes the new UAV Counter target of "capturing UAV with UAV" through technical design such as multi-target information fusion, airborne small target identification and tracking, accurate interception and control, with flexible system deployment and small collateral damage. The products applying the core technology of the project participated in the 2020 Muhammad bin Zayed International Robot Challenge and won the championship. The first generation prototype has been verified in many places and has been widely concerned and recognized.
Project Name: on board autonomous takeoff and landing flight control module project
Project Member: Gu Xuechen, Lin Defu, Song Tao, Zhang Cheng, Yu Qian, Chen Baijian, Yang Siyuan and Qu Jiaqi
Project Introduction: Aiming at the problems of autonomous control accuracy, robustness and rapidity existing in the existing on-board UAV system, the team has developed a set of automatic take-off and landing flight control module of on-board UAV. The on-board autonomous take-off and landing flight control module can adapt to various types of UAVs and realize all-weather autonomous recovery on a high mobility platform. The products applying the core technology of the project participated in the 2017 Muhammad bin Zayed International Robot Challenge and won the championship. The project has produced nearly 20 invention patents and has been widely used.

The "Flying Eagle" team of the School of Aerospace Engineering of BIT is a scientific and technological innovation team of college students composed of undergraduate, master and doctoral students. It selects members for the whole university, carries out scientific and technological innovation work relying on the Institute of Autonomous Control of unmanned aerial vehicles, and actively explores the application of cutting-edge technologies of artificial intelligence in unmanned aerial vehicles. The "Flying Eagle" team adheres to paying equal attention to scientific research and talent training, supports "promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovation" with a platform, and drives talent training, discipline construction, cutting-edge basic research, key technology breakthrough and internationalization through high-level competition in the field of unmanned systems, forming a "five in one" leading talent training mode of basic, master and doctoral.
