Initially centered on smart environmental monitoring systems, the program helped students learn about the working principles and usage methods of various common sensors. In class, students integrated different sensors together and built intelligent terminals supporting network communication and web user interfaces to meet real-world agricultural and environmental monitoring needs. The 80 students were divided into 7 innovative teams, approaching their projects from the perspectives of innovators and entrepreneurs, combining technical practice with business training.
At the same time, the students experienced the unique charm of communication technology and artificial intelligence during the program. They engaged in signal reception experiments using software-defined radio hardware systems, tracking civil aviation aircraft flight statuses through ADS-B broadcast signals. They also learned programming to utilize LoRa wireless communication modules for wireless communication and controlled a DIY music box with wireless messages, experiencing the significant role of wireless communication technology in the contemporary world.
They also visited the Alibaba Group's Beijing headquarters for learning and exchange. Alibaba Cloud technical experts conducted specialized sharing sessions on-site, delving into the latest achievements in cloud services and AI technology. The content covered topics such as large-scale model platform construction, implementation of customer solutions, and the strategic layout of enterprises for the future, supplemented with real case studies analyzing business application scenarios.
The successful organization of this summer program on advanced technologies in electronic information engineering has created a learning platform that integrates academic discussions, technical practices, and international exchanges. Through diverse forms such as expert lectures, laboratory practices, and company visits, the program has systematically showcased the cutting-edge achievements in the field of electronic information. BIT looks forward to the students enhancing their international perspectives and innovation literacy through systematic learning and practical exploration, as well as playing a crucial role in driving the development of electronic science and technology in the future.
