Zhang Jun, secretary of the CPC Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) Committee, led a research team to Shaanxi province from Aug 11 to 12.

On behalf of the local authority, Zhao Yide, secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, warmly welcomed Zhang Jun and his delegation to Shaanxi, expressing gratitude for BIT's long-standing support.

He highlighted BIT's strong capabilities and distinctive features, emphasizing the historical deep ties between Shaanxi and the university. Zhao noted that recent collaborations have been fruitful and expressed hope for continued partnership in innovation research, achievement transformation, "double first-class" construction, and talent cultivation, aiming to advance their cooperation further.

Zhang Jun expressed gratitude to the Shaanxi government for its long standing and strong support  in developing BIT and for showcasing the university's rapid and high-quality development in recent years.

Zhang noted that Shaanxi is a major energy province, which is closely related to the university's advantageous disciplines. Moving forward, BIT will closely align with Shaanxi's industrial development needs, further strengthen industry-university-research collaboration with various innovation entities in Shaanxi, and encourage more outstanding students to seek employment and entrepreneurship in the province, thereby contributing actively to Shaanxi's high-quality development and modernization efforts.
