BIT and the National Museum of China sign cooperation agreement

On Sept 10, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and the National Museum of China signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing.

During the signing ceremony, Zhang Jun, secretary of the CPC BIT Committee, expressed gratitude to the National Museum of China for its continuous support and assistance to the university and introduced the development of BIT's educational endeavors in recent years.

Zhang stated that the museum is among the nation's highest-level museums of historical and cultural art, and deep cooperation between the university and the museum is a vivid practice of strengthening cultural education. BIT will gather quality resources and actively support the museum in areas such as technological empowerment, academic research, and cultural innovation. He also hopes that the museum will provide support and assistance to the university in cultural education, internships, and practical training.

Luo Wenli, director of the National Museum of China, expressed gratitude to BIT for its long-standing strong support for the museum and congratulated BIT on its upcoming 85th anniversary. Luo stated that the National Museum is committed to upholding integrity and innovation and promoting cultural exchange. He hopes that both sides will use this strategic cooperation as an opportunity to undertake their cultural missions, leverage their unique resources, and advance broader, higher-quality, and more pragmatic cooperation.

According to the agreement, BIT and the museum will leverage their respective strengths to engage in deep cooperation in areas such as exhibition planning, talent development, and academic research. This will mainly cover the areas of jointly launching high-quality exhibitions, conducting talent development programs, undertaking academic research, enhancing scientific and academic exchanges, collaborating on key project research, and actively cultivating outstanding research outcomes.
