BIT students achieve excellent results at national robot innovation contest

The finals of the 7th China Graduate Robot Innovation Design Competition were held from Sept 26 to 29 in Jinan, Shandong province. Students from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) achieved excellent results in the competition.

The competition attracted 1,640 entries from 224 universities nationwide. After rigorous selection, 325 teams advanced to the finals, with 30 first prizes and 81 second prizes awarded, and 52 teachers receiving the "Outstanding Instructor" title.

BIT tied for second place nationally in the total number of first prizes, with all winning teams coming from the School of Mechanical Engineering. Eight teams from BIT's School of Mechanical Engineering advanced to the finals. After intense competition in the final stage, the school's teams achieved remarkable results, winning three first prizes, three second prizes, and two third prizes, with four instructors earning the "Outstanding Instructor" title.

BIT will continue to leverage various robotics competitions as opportunities to combine its professional strengths with the goal of serving national strategic needs, cultivating high-level technological innovation talents in the field of robotics, enhancing students' abilities in robotic innovation and design, supporting the development of the robotics industry ecosystem, and promoting the innovative development of robotics technology and industry.
