Recently, the international journals hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Space: Science & Technology, and Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation, have been indexed in the SCIE of the Clarivate Web of Science database.

All articles published in these journals since their inception will be gradually included in the SCI database. With this achievement, BIT now has three English-language international journals indexed by SCI.

The simultaneous inclusion of both journals this time marks a milestone in the university's international journal development. This achievement signifies high recognition of the academic quality and international influence of the journals and represents a step forward for the university in promoting interdisciplinary research, fostering academic innovation, and enhancing its international discourse. It further highlights the comprehensive strength of BIT's journal matrix in terms of academic quality, standardized operations, and international development.

Since November 2020, the university has launched five new English-language scientific journals, all selected for the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan" and included in major international databases such as ESCI, EI, and Scopus. Three of these journals have been ranked in the top quartile (Q1) by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and all are recognized as core scientific journals in China.

The rapid development of the international journal matrix reflects the university's strong capabilities in discipline construction and research innovation. BIT will continue to advance the construction and development of its international journal matrix, further supporting academic disciplines, cultivating top-notch innovative talents, and promoting the "double first-class" initiative, aiming to establish a globally influential "BIT academic publishing brand".
