In January 2026, the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) will convene its 16th Party congress. Leading up to this event, a series of reports will showcase the university's achievements since its 15th Party congress in 2021.

Over the past five years, the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) has made significant strides in expanding its collaborative education model and strengthening domestic partnerships.
BIT has strategically aligned itself with 10 provincial governments, including Heilongjiang and Sichuan, enhancing its collaborative efforts across regions. The university has also partnered with prestigious institutions like Peking Union Medical College and the Central University of Finance and Economics to develop interdisciplinary programs, such as medical-engineering integration and intelligent finance.
The BIT Zhuhai campus, in particular, has played a pivotal role in this transformation, establishing 12 high-quality university-enterprise collaboration institutions and forming partnerships with over 80 high-level organizations. These efforts have led to the approval of 56 provincial and ministerial-level scientific innovation platforms and the achievement of 35 awards at the same level.

In the field of aviation, BIT has co-established a "Large Aircraft Class" with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), focusing on training top-tier engineers for the commercial aviation sector. Additionally, collaborations with national agencies and leading enterprises have allowed BIT to address key technological challenges and foster strategic scientific capabilities.
The university's research institutes in the Yangtze River Delta and Zhengzhou have made significant contributions to technology transfer and innovation, establishing numerous laboratories and securing substantial research funding. These initiatives align with BIT's mission to support regional development and contribute to national strategic goals.

Alumni play a vital role in BIT's success, with 52 domestic and 16 international alumni associations forming a global network. The university's alumni engagement initiatives have significantly increased participation rates and fostered strong connections through various industry platforms and events.
BIT's strategic collaborations and innovative initiatives continue to drive its mission of supporting the nation's modernization and contributing significantly to regional economic and social development. Over the past years, a series of impressive achievements have reflected the robust growth and positive momentum of the university's domestic cooperation and development efforts.
