In January 2026, the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) will convene its 16th Party congress. Leading up to this event, a series of reports will showcase the university's achievements since its 15th Party congress in 2021.

In recent years, the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) has made significant strides in enhancing the quality of graduate training, guided by its commitment to "green education". This approach has not only maintained BIT's leading position nationwide but also provided a "BIT solution" for educational reform.

Central to BIT's strategy is its emphasis on value-driven education. The university integrates the spirit of educators and scientists into students' ideological and political education. Over the past five years, BIT has advanced this integration by establishing a dedicated task force and developing 135 courses focused on ideological and political education. This initiative has garnered national and municipal recognition, ensuring comprehensive coverage in training programs and regular advisory sessions.

BIT also promotes an integrated approach to education and research, creating a world-class learning environment. By merging top-tier research and educational resources, the university has established four centers focusing on artificial intelligence, interdisciplinary science, aerospace informatics, and ultrafast laser manufacturing. Collaborations with defense industry groups have resulted in the creation of over 300 co-education bases, further enhancing the education landscape.

In addition to strengthening its domestic programs, BIT has significantly increased international opportunities for its students. Over the past five years, more than 1,000 national scholarships have been awarded, with an approval rate reaching 86 percent by 2025. Graduate students have participated in over 1,400 international academic exchanges across more than 50 countries, broadening their global perspectives.

To further innovate its educational offerings, BIT has introduced the "4A+4S" education model (anything, anywhere, anyone, anytime; self-attention, self-generation, self-growth, self-excellence).
